Ten years getting SaaS products found. Now ChatGPT decides who gets found.

Cited.today is built by Tom Benattar, co-founder and CEO of humaninbox and Podawaa, and the founder of MailTracker, PimpMySaaS and PixelMe, all three acquired. Based in Lisbon.

Who I am

Three companies sold, ten years in B2B SaaS, and every one of them had the same problem on day one: nobody could find it.

I co-founded SaaS Invaders in 2015, a private sales site for startup tools. Then PixelMe, with Jeremie Doucy and Maxime Berthelot: a link shortener that adds retargeting pixels to every link you share. We bootstrapped it, raised 1 million euros, and Carbon6 acquired it in 2021.

In 2023 I took over MailTracker, the email tracking tool for Gmail created by Hunter.io, with Stephen Zambaux. It had 100,000 users and exactly zero revenue. We went from 0 to $10,000 MRR in a few months, doubled the user base to 200,000 and reached nearly $1M ARR. On 7 October 2026, Mailmeteor acquired it: a 7-figure exit, closed in under two months. Talk to customers, test the pricing, move fast: that is the whole method.

PimpMySaaS, the Reddit and GEO agency we built for 50+ B2B SaaS, was acquired by Getfluence. Today I am co-founder and CEO of humaninbox, an AI email assistant for Gmail, and Podawaa, the LinkedIn engagement tool. Cited.today started as the method we ran on humaninbox, and that is where the numbers on the home page come from.

Why Cited.today

In July 2026, gethumaninbox.com had no content and no traffic. We asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google our buying questions, noted who they cited instead of us, and read the pages that got those competitors in. Then we wrote ours the same way, better: the question in the title, a comparison table, verified prices, a named author.

Six weeks later, Search Console showed 420 clicks, 27,000 impressions and an average position of 6. The numbers are on the home page, straight from the account.

I had seen it before. At MailTracker, blog traffic doubled in six months once we stopped writing about ourselves and started answering the practical questions people actually ask. Same lesson, new engines: write exactly what people ask, in the form the engines prefer, and check that it worked.

Cited.today is that method: it finds the article that gets your competitor cited, and tells your team how to write a better one.

How I work

  • Talk to customers. Not doing it enough is the thing I regret most about my first company. Cited.today exists because content teams told me what their Monday looks like.
  • Build what you would use. Cited.today runs on our own products first. If a recommendation does not earn its place on gethumaninbox.com, it does not ship.
  • Measure the work. Every page gets a check four weeks after publishing. A brief nobody verified is an opinion.
  • Keep pricing simple and keep moving. Three plans, monthly, full refund after the first month if you are not happy. You keep every brief and every page.
